Fisterra's famous easter gathers people from
all Costa da Morte and Galicia. There is a play about Christ's Resurrection,
after which takes place the "Danza das Areas", old XI century
dance.

Bamiro
Pilgrims from many villages come to the small
hermitage near A Piroga, since the Virgin protects against warts and
head illnesses.

VIRXE DO MONTE - Camarinas
Local pilgrimage where people from Camarinas
pray for fishermen and those who were taken to the army. The Virgin
protects against migraines and madness.

NOSA SENORA DOS REMEDIOS - Lira
In the XVIII century hermitage, the pilgrims
leave numerous votive offerings, among which the helm of a Spanish
Audacious Armada's ship.

The Christ of the Golden Beard, or Sacred Christ
of Fisterra, is very worshipped in the whole Costa da Morte.

SANTA ANA DE RABADEIRA - San
Mamede de Seavia
The Saint is received with arches of flowers
and poems by the whole parish. Pilgrims from all Bergantinos pray
there for good childbirths, touching the Saint's sculpture with some
handcloths . These same handcloths are then put to the cows in order
to obtain more milk.

SANTO ANTONIO - San
Lourenzo de Agolada
Important pilgrimage that gathers 10.000 persons,
the cattle is spread around the Sanctuary to be blessed by the priest.
Later on, humans and animals participate in the Saint's procession.

SANTO HADRIAN DO MAR - Malpica
Important pilgrimage that congregates some 3.000
people. The miraculous fountain in the Saint's hermitage cures humans
and animal's illnesses.

NOSA SENORA DO CARME - Corme-Porto
Marine procession along Corme's creek with a
great number of boats taking the Virgen around.

SANTA MARGARIDA - Santa Maria Magdalena de
Montemaior
Pilgrims go to the sacred fountain to cure skin,
hands, feet and throat illnesses.
August, 1st
SAN FINS DO CASTRO - Santo Estevo de Cesullas
Something characteristic of this pilgrimage
is the burning of the Saint of Polbra, and the Berro Seco (Dry
Scream), when the pilgrims shout together to be protected against
bad spirits.

Important celebration in Dubra valley, Bergantinos,
Xallas and A Mahia where people go attracted by the curative waters.

The Virgin is taken on a marine procession
around Laxe's creek.

NOSA SENORA DE LIMA - Laxe
Pilgrims from Bergantinos, Soneira and other
regions get together in the Cornaceiras mountain's church to find
protection from all kinds of evils.

NOSA SENORA DAS MIRAGRES - Caion
The Virgin is carried in procession to the
Nosa Senora das Miragres' hermitage.

NOSA SENORA DO FARO - Brantuas
Very popular pilgrimage in the region, it
is characteristic of the celebration to move the tiles roof
in order to change the direction of the wind.

NOSA SENORA DAS NEVES - San Pedro de Buxantes
Local pilgrimage in which the sacred fountain
water is given to the cattle and pregnant women to protect them
from being ill and to improve the quality of the milk .

Old Celtic sanctuary related with Saint James'
tradition, Nosa Senora da Barca is one of the most celebrated pilgrimages
